The “vulnerability” and ״fragility” that certain therapists and theories attain their patients is exaggerated.

Problems and symptoms are not the result of childhood deficits, of what was missing. The twisted love we got from our parents has a bigger weight to our defects then the love we didn’t get.

People do not only suffer from their symptoms, they also enjoy using them to manipulate others. In order to free patients from their symptoms, therapist need to be able to see the symptom in their larger context, where they serve the patients.

The suffering people endure are not only the result of what was done to them, but also the result of they do to others.

When people act in unethical ways towards others, their worthiness diminish.

When people allow others to treat them in unethical ways, they can’t feel worthy.

What therapists do in WBP:

Help clients identify clearly and precisely the ways other treat them unethically: manipulation, abuse, lying, violence, intimidation, coercion and so on.

Help clients become more differentiated, hold on to themselves and build a solid sense of self.

Help clients identify the ways they treat others unfairly and unethically.

Confront them and push them to grow up, stop manipulating and abusing and start taking care of themselves.

Worthiness Based Psychotherapy presents

Online, Zoom and frontal courses, workshops and seminars, around the world

Amittai Megged has 30 years’ experience in lecturing on subjects such as: family therapy, couples therapy, and different models of psychotherapy.
